Do you want to take action toward positive change in your life but don’t know where to start?

John’s Tools for Wellness offer you exercises and rituals aimed at getting you in touch with your authentic self. Try implementing these tools into your daily life. With practice, patience and self-compassion you will notice an inevitable shift toward positivity.

Tool #1: Heart Space Meditation

 

Sometimes we aren’t able to move forward with positive change because we are not able to connect with our hearts. Try adding this meditation into your daily routine for a minimum of 30 days to strengthen your sense of groundedness, compassion and truth.

  • Get set up in a quiet space, free of distractions. This time is for you.

  • Begin by closing your eyes and bringing your awareness to your breath and then to your heart space.

  • After a few minutes of being in this state of rest, silently, and ever so gently, say to yourself:

    • “I surrender my thoughts”

    • “I surrender my thinking-ness”

    • “I surrender my opinions”

    • “I surrender my judgments"

  • Bask in the warmth of your heart space and continue to follow your breath. If thoughts come, do your best to not engage them. Simply let them drift away like wispy clouds off to the horizon.

  • When you are ready, slowly bring your awareness back to your body and the room you are in.

  • Finish with an offering of silent love and heartfelt gratitude for the healing energy that you received.
